Dr. Randy Thomas
Dr. Randy Thomas is a 1992 graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University. Following graduation, he worked as a small animal practitioner for 4 years in Fort Wayne, Indiana. In 1999, he completed a 3-year residency in veterinary dermatology at the University of Florida. He is board-certified in veterinary dermatology and is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology. He has been in private referral dermatology practice since 1999. He is also a courtesy, adjunct faculty at the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Florida.
Dr. Thomas’ professional interests include allergic diseases in the dog and cat, diseases of the ear, and autoimmune skin diseases. He has contributed chapters to two veterinary texts: Cancer in Dogs and Cats (Morrison WB, editor) and Small Animal Dermatology Secrets (Campbell KL, editor). He has lectured nationally at the North American Veterinary Conference and Western Veterinary Conference, as well as numerous regional and local conferences.
Dr. Cynthia Bauer
Dr. Bauer attended Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine where she graduated with honors and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2005. After completing a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Veterinary Specialists of South Florida, she was accepted into a four year dermatology residency and masters program at the University of Georgia. She completed her residency in July 2010, also earning a Master’s of Science specializing in Veterinary Dermatopathology.
She is board-certified in veterinary dermatology and a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology. She is a published author about her research which used only client owned, volunteered pets to help improve the use of skin testing in animals who suffer environmental allergies. Dr. Bauer‘s clinical interests are many, including infectious skin diseases, ear diseases of dogs and cats, and allergic skin diseases. She now resides in the Greenville area, where she lives with her husband, their two cats Finz and Gumbo, and Autumn her Siberian husky.
