Dr. Rebecca Hoffman was raised in the far North suburbs of Chicago. She had an established career in international business before her own special needs dog inspired her to return to school and study veterinary medicine. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of North Carolina at Asheville, and then joined the inaugural class at Lincoln Memorial University – College of Veterinary Medicine, earning her DVM in 2018. Before returning to Asheville, she completed a rotating small animal internship in the Chicago area, followed by a specialty internship in Surgery at MedVet Cincinnati. While she enjoys many aspects of veterinary practice, she is particularly interested in surgical cases and client education. In her free time, she enjoys trail running, hiking, climbing, and spending time with friends and family.
