In my 27 years in Veterinary Medicine, this is the best place I have ever worked! Throughout my career, I have never really found a place I can call my forever home. When I moved here from New York in 2020 it took me a while to find my footing. I brought my cat Bugsy Asui Picasso to Upstate Vet in November 2022 and saw Dr. Ty Smith. I had the best experience, and he was amazing with my soulmate cat. I knew I had to work here. In June 2023, the opportunity finally presented itself, and I am so happy I made the leap to work here. From the day I started until now, I have truly been my happiest and so impressed by the level of training that is put into each employee. Upstate Vet Cares about its team members. You never feel just like an employee but a member of the team.

I’ve had the amazing experience of working at Upstate Vet for the past year as an emergency veterinarian. It was important for me to find a hospital after my internship where I could not only practice good quality medicine, but could also continue to learn and grow as a young veterinarian while serving my community. I get to collaborate with an extraordinary group of specialists to provide my patients with the best possible care, but what has been the most special part of my experience here is the group of brilliant and caring doctors, technicians, and patient care staff who make up our emergency team.
