Frequently Asked Questions

We provide you with as many payment options as possible to allow you to make the best choices for your pet. Your pet’s health is everyone’s first priority but we completely understand that our clients may have financial considerations as well. With that in mind, we ask for your consent during critical care and for treatment plans. We also encourage you to explore pet health insurance and CareCredit before an emergency arises.

If you are advised that your pet needs to be hospitalized, rest assured that we are fully staffed at all times. Each hospitalized patient is monitored continuously. You are invited to call for patient updates at any time and as often as you would like.

We will be sure you are with your pet as much as possible. Certain procedures will require that we separate you and your pet but we will do our best to keep you informed of all that is happening.

Our caseload varies greatly just as in a human emergency room. We do see patients on a first-come, first-served basis; however, life threatening cases will be seen upon arrival. We appreciate your patience as you and your pet wait to be seen. Please do not hesitate to ask a receptionist or technician for assistance if you need anything during your wait time.

Upon your arrival you will be greeted by a receptionist who will help you get your pet registered with us. If your pet has a life-threatening injury or illness, one of our technicians will ask if we may bring your pet to our ICU for treatment to begin immediately. If your pet is stable, you will be asked to wait until one of our veterinarians is available and you will then be escorted into an exam room with your pet.
