Originally from a small town in Southern Illinois, Dr. Amanda Kuhl received a Bachelor of Arts from Greenville College in Greenville Illinois. She went on to attend veterinary school at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. During that time, she was inducted into the Phi Zeta Honors Society. Following graduation, Dr. Kuhl completed a one-year small animal rotating internship at BluePearl Specialty and Emergency Specialty Center in Overland Park, Kansas and then a one-year specialty internship in emergency and critical care medicine at the University of Illinois CVM. The last step on the road to becoming a specialist was to complete a three-year emergency and critical care residency at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in Knoxville TN.
Dr. Kuhl’s clinical interests include polytrauma, toxicities, sepsis management, transfusion medicine, coagulopathies, and fluid therapy.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her kittens, Birdie and Bogey, playing video games, reading for fun, and soccer.
