Dr. Dahlinger, Dr. “D” as he is frequently called, grew up as a military brat where he lived in Europe, Southeast Asia, and Hawaii. He enjoyed reading and learning about the natural world. As a lover of animals, he decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.
Dr. Dahlinger did his veterinary training at the University of California, interned at the University of Georgia, then returned to California for his surgery residency after 3 years of general practice in Sonoma County, California.
After his formal education, Dr. Dahlinger moved east to Texas, driving his small RV with his wife, twin babies, ten cats, and a dog! He spent over a decade in the area as a staff surgeon at a busy specialty hospital. He has since made his way to the east coast and is loving Greenville, SC!
Dr. Dahlinger has been boarded certified since 1999 and enjoys orthopedic, soft tissue, and routine neurologic surgery. He looks forward to serving area pet owners and their dogs and cats.
He enjoys spending time with his wife, Monique, and their twin boys, TJ and Paul. The Dahlinger family likes attending church, playing board games, and exploring and camping in their travel van.
